It’s ironic that when you see a t-shirt proudly sporting the American flag, or any other piece of patriotic apparel for that matter, chances are that it was made in far flung countries such as China. I personally however, think that if you truly love your country, it’s far better to show that through your actions, rather than just wearing a t-shirt that says you do. Luckily you can do both!
One of the best things you can do today to support America is to buy products that are actually made in USA. By doing so you’re creating jobs for American workers and helping to rebuild the manufacturing industry that used to be the lifeblood of so many communities across the US.
So when you’re buying a patriotic t-shirt made in the USA, you’re not just showing that you love your country, you’re doing something to make it a better place. And yes, that does mean actually made here. Because a lot of brands proudly claim their t-shirt are ‘printed right here in the USA’. And while that’s definitely better than nothing, that’s only a very small part of the production process.

While there are some brands that make their t-shirts entirely in the USA, from the growing of the cotton, to the stitching of the label, it came as a surprise that we couldn’t find a single patriotic t-shirt for which this was the case. The only one that comes close is Freedom Fatigues. They use a tri-blend fabric that’s knitted in the USA, with American-grown cotton. We’re currently researching the origin of the polyester and rayon.
That, combined with their wide selection of both men’s and women’s patriotic and flag designs, as well as the fact that they’re a veteran owned- and operated company, earns them the top spot on our list.

With over 100 different designs, Ohio-based Gritgear probably offers the largest selection of flag- and patriotic t-shirts made in USA. They design and print the patterns themselves, everything from quotes to American flags to powerful graphics.

If you don’t like synthetic fibers and prefer a flag t-shirt made from 100% cotton fabric that’s been woven in the USA, then Proper Patriot is probably your best option. They’re veteran owned and exclusively sell American made patriotic and flag t-shirts, as well as some outdoor themed designs.

Even though their patriotic selection is more limited than most other brands on this list, weI wanted to give a special shout-out to Minnesota-based WSI. They’re a sportswear company that, as far as we know, is currently the only brand that actually makes their patriotic apparel brand in their own factory, instead of sourcing it from third party manufacturers.

Red White Blue is has been selling American made patriotic tees since 2012 and offers one of the larger selections compared to most brands on this list. They’re an especially good option if you like more subtle, low-key and family-friendly designs, as most of their t-shirts feature quotes and images in softer colors.

Love of Country is a small, veteran-owned company that sells patriotic tees, domestically sourced and printed in New York. We haven’t yet been able to test out the quality of their t-shirts. So for now, the fact that we don’t know the origin of their fabrics, combined with their higher price point and smaller selection, put them a little further down the list.

If you’re into more flashy or controversial t-shirts, Patriot 365 USA might be right up your alley (the ones shown below are their milder options as we’re not entirely comfortable some of their otherer designs). Other than that, their tees are competitively priced, available for both men and women and, of course, American made.

So while you might not find a lot of quotes or 2nd Amendment designs on their t-shirt, if you want to show your love for the Stars and Stripes, they’ve got you covered. Lastly we have Eagle Six Gear, a small brand based in Colorado Springs, where their small team prints their t-shirts and other apparel.
